Pharmacists in Colorado now have the ability to be reimbursed for the patient care services they provide, including chronic disease management, statewide protocols, and more. In addition to increasing access to care for patients, this also translates to a reimbursement model to support what our pharmacist professionals were trained to do: serve as medication experts and provide patient care.
Opportunities for Colorado pharmacist reimbursement were realized with the passage of recent laws led by Colorado Pharmacists Society (CPS). The passage of these new laws is what is collectively called, "Provider Status", and requires both commercial payers and Colorado Medicaid to reimburse Colorado pharmacists for delivery of non-dispensing, medical/clinical services (with some restrictions).
To register for the Provide Status Workshop, click the button below which will lead you to the Annual Meeting registration form —skip the part on the meeting registration selection if you are not participating and select only the Provide Status Workshop.
