THANK YOU FOR A SUCCESSFUL CPS 2024 ANNUAL Meeting!

The 2024 Colorado Pharmacy Society Annual Meeting was held on June 13 and 14 following the Colorado Residency Conference of the Rockies. A total of 181 attendees gathered in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, over the 3 days to re-connect with colleagues and forge new networks over presentations, roundtables, and lively discussions. The breadth of scheduled activities covered interests of multiple practice areas and CPS practitioner types (students, technicians, or pharmacists)! We focused on getting Pharmacy Forward and.  Multiple members were recognized with awards during the awards ceremony for their service to the organization and profession. Overall numerous exhibitors and sponsors were gracious in supporting and contributing to this annual gathering.

Colorado Pharmacists Society (CPS) was honored to welcome Cynthia Knapp Dlugosz  as the esteemed keynote speaker at the CPS 2024 Annual Meeting - Pharmacy Forward in Glenwood  Springs, CO.  Cynthia delivered her impassioned talk entitled “Right Here Right Now: Managing Stress and Anxiety in the Moment”. Her message discussed the neurobiology behind acute and chronic stress and anxiety, presented evidence-based approaches to managing stress and addressing the emotional aspects of stress.  Cynthia discussed the differences between stress and anxiety and noted the role and importance of mindfulness. She discussed the 5 steps to focus on the here and now and helped us reset, refresh and get Pharmacy Forward!

We also honored outstanding individuals in the field of pharmacy at the Awards and Installation Dinner, as well as installed the  2024-2025 CPS Board of Directors!
